The best of both log worlds combines the rugged beauty of full log and the charm of post and beam. Mixed log homes are built using post and beam wall and roof system above 3 courses of handcrafted full scribe logs. This combination creates a striking effect unequaled by any other type of structure. Planning is versatile which includes log ceiling beams, log stairs and rails.

Long anchor bolts pass through the log and frame walls to secure the roof logs to the foundation. Walls can be from 4 inches to 8 inches thick with insulation values up to R 34. These features make mixed log homes suitable for areas with severe climactic conditions.
