POST & BEAM STYLE
Create a Log Post & Beam Masterpiece Log Post and Beam Homes are warm and versatile with many different wall textures available. Wall finishing materials can include gyproc, pine or cedar wood paneling, glass, tile, brick, rock, cultured stone, stucco or stucco panel, log siding, cedar shingles or shakes. Walls can be built from 4 inches to 8 inches thick and have insulation values of R 18 to R 34. This exceeds insulating requirements for most countries. Log beams support the second floor while log rails and timber stairs add to the log theme of your new home. Log post and beam joinery includes the use of dovetail tenons, square tenons and lap joints to create exceptionally strong and durable buildings. Bolts may be used to secure the roof logs directly to the foundation in high wind areas.
